About CRUX

CRUX started with a story close to home.

One of our teachers, a diabetic patient, shared that her right foot had gone completely numb due to neuropathy. She explained how she often has to walk long distances but lives with a constant fear — "What if I get a foot ulcer and don't even realize it?"

That moment stayed with us. It wasn't just about her — it represented millions of diabetic patients who silently live with the same anxiety every day. Despite medical advances, there was no simple, preventive solution to help them stay safe in their daily lives.

That conversation sparked CRUX. Founded in March 2025, we decided to build a smart insole that could sense what the patient can't feel — continuously monitoring pressure, temperature, and motion to detect early signs of risk.
